Cats for Adoption

Key to abbreviations:
N – neutered; V – vaccinated; C – chipped
(N) (V) (C) – scheduled treatment
All our cats are vet-checked,  microchipped, vaccinated, neutered (unless too young) and treated with prescription flea and worm treatments.

All the cats above need new homes and are being cared for by our team of fosterers. The number of cats we can care for is limited by the spaces we have available with our team of cat fosterers, although there are  always local cats needing new homes. If you would like to volunteer to become a fosterer, please visit our How to Help page.

ADOPTION PROCESS

To express an interest in adopting one of our cats, you must complete our online adoption enquiry form. This is designed to help us match you with your perfect feline companion. It asks about you and your home, and your experience with companion animals. The second section covers all the areas we look at when carrying out our home check.

Your answers should help both you and us decide whether adopting a particular cat is going to be right for you, for your circumstances and, most importantly, for the cat.

Adoption fees
We do not sell cats.  However, if you would like to adopt one of our cats or kittens, we will ask an adoption fee of  £100 per pet.  This will go part way towards covering the costs we will have incurred in feeding, treating for fleas and worms, vaccinating, micro-chipping and generally caring for your new friend.

Donations over and above our adoption fee will be welcome.  Please also consider adding ‘gift-aid’ to your donation by providing relevant details on the cat adoption form.

New charity number: 1209722
We are a small independent not-for-profit animal rescue centre, based on the borders of North Yorkshire, south Cumbria and north Lancashire.  We specialise in cats but have contacts with other organisations for dogs and small furries.  Our aim is to re-home all the animals that come to us. We recently became a "CIO". We are the same group of people, and are keeping the overall name Bentham and District Pet Rescue. We will now additionally start to use the the name Dales Cat Rescue for our cat rescue activities, and the charity number is changing from 1071200 to 1209722.
